Accessories HTC Droid Incredible Case

I bought the black high-gloss silicon case at the VZW store yesterday, and I love it. It doesn't add much bulkiness and definitely offers plenty of shock-absorbing protection. The 'glossy' finish actually looks quite nice, and the case fits over the phone tightly. I'm definitely planning on using this unless something significantly better comes around. Oh, and I also got a 20% discount for buying it at the store.

i bought it too and was loving it but now i dont like because it attracts dust in the corners of the phone and the case. drives me nuts and its hard to clean it. i am back to case-less but i would like to find another option. not sure what to get? anyone else?

thanks

For anyone looking for a cheap silicone case:

HTC Droid Incredible Skin Case Black

use coupon code htcincredibleskn to get the case for only $2.99 + shipping ($2.85 for me).

I used this site to get a silicone case for my previous LG Dare, and was very happy with it. It also has a bunch of 5 star reviews.

I'll get this one for now, and perhaps upgrade to the Seideo Innocase II later on.

No clue why a lot of people don't like the Body Glove case. It's one of the most protective hard cases I've ever seen. I've dropped my phone once (few feet) and it was fine.

It adds a lot of bulk BUT the camera becomes recessed when the phone is in the case; very nice.

because it is fugly as hell. It's like buying a beautiful new couch and putting that plastic crap on it. :)

Speck has some really cool cases, i just dont know if they just do Blackberry and Apple only, i sent them an e-mail and the response was pretty vague.

Here's what i sent them:

Hello,
I was wondering if are going to have cases for the HTC Droid Incredible, or if you only cater to Apple and Blackberry.
Thanks

And here's the reply i got

Thank you for contacting Speck!

I have no ETA on when a new case/color would be available but please check back on our website and sign up for email alerts on new products. Please join our mailing list for email alerts on Sales and New Product Releases!

Kind regards,

They had this case at Best Buy. It's really nice EXCEPT it doesn't have a hole in the bottom to push the phone out which was a deal breaker for me.

This one doesn't have a clip:

This one does:

Just bought one - I thought no hole in the bottom would make it hard to get the DI out, but I just pull a corner out with my thumb:

I asked Zagg if they are making the leather skins for the droid incredible and they said "NO" that the won't be making any, but devices after the droid incredible will have leather skins, how random is that?

I purchased this case through this site. Had it for about 2 weeks now, and pretty happy with it. Protects camera lens pretty well, feels sturdy without adding too much bulk.

Yeah, but it's the most protective case in my opinion (that's built specifically for the DI).

And I love how recessed the camera lens becomes.

How thick is the skin?

Doesn't seem like it would protect from a fall (3-4 ft). Right?

Can you take closeup pictures of the skin on the phone, please?

I have invisashield on the front of mine and the high gloss silicone on mine. I reall like the feel to the new silicone cases. I like the feel to the high gloss. I also purchased a HTC leather case to slide it in and it fits with the silicone case.

My only issue with this is having a leather pouch to wear on the outside; it's like a fanny pack.

I'm thinking of getting the HTC silicone cover from Best Buy and ordering a neoprene sleeve for the Nexus One.

I'll slip in an iPod into the sleeve if the DI+HTC cover is a tight initial fit for the sleeve. That should stretch it out, per another poster who has done this.

EDIT:

Actually, if it'll fit, I think I'd get a Seidio Innocase II and use the Nexus One sleeve...someone else had their DI in an N1 sleeve, bare, and when they dropped it they said the corner of the phone that was exposed at the top of the sleeve suffered some damage.

The only problem I am having with the case is when I take out the phone I have to wipe it off because of the material. I am thinking abut returning it. Other then that though it works for now.

If this is the same skin I tried at Best Buy (it came in an HTC package) it's a pretty nice skin. I would have purchased it but BestBuy wanted $20 so I passed but I may have to give one of these a try.

You may be refering to my earlier post where I mentioned putting my iPod in the Nexus One case and it did stretch it out. I also tried a deck of cards which worked well. I'm also thinking about using the Seidio Innocase II with the sleeve, this sound like nice combo to me, but I wish they'd come with one in some color other than purple.

I was looking at this case which looks decent, though not the same quality as the Seidio Innocase II I'm sure.

So i have the black to red gradient case. Was in Vegas this weekend and sunscreen ruined the soft touch layer, started to bubble and peel.

So i am starting to scrape it off. The plastic underneath is a clear red.

It's nearly identical to the the HTC branded case featured in this thread. It doesn't have the HTC branding on the back, and the cutout for camera lens has a more "trapazoidal" shape.

Camera is phone, sorry I couldn't provide my own pictures. :(

Received this today. Well worth the money, $6 shipped. Fits in nicely.

bump can anyone recommend a silicon case?

The VZW silicon case is very good. but beware that it is very tight and can pull the edges of a screen protector if you have one installed. someone on another thread mentioned that it did not do that to their steinheil. I bought the black VZW today and will return it right away since it pushed the edges of my screen protector. not a biggie but its a buzz kill if you had the screen protector installed just right.

If you go bare on the screen then the vzw one is a good bet.

Purchased this case yesterday and it works well. It doesn't block my fingers when typing and it fits well. I had to push extra hard to get earphones plugged into it, so a little scraping may be needed to add some clearance in some instances.

Just a few observations:
It's not completely black but it looks good; it's actually a really dark smoky grey, like a tinted car window.
It doesn't seem to attract dust
the phone slips in and out easy enough not to be painful
good cushioning
doesn't add much bulk
camera lens is recessed enough not to make contact when laid flat

I also got the 3 pack VZW screen protectors. Protects well with no loss of touch sensitivity, but they don't tuck under the edge of the case so I expect that they will peel, especially at the top where you slide down the task menu.

Overall, I spent about $22 for both, with discounts, and I got them right away, so I am satisfied. I will still probably buy the Innocase II combo at some point, but this works for now.
