can the htc evo 3d from sprint be unlocked I have heard that they cant be unlocked but I was amazon.com and found an unlocked evo 3d it is possible???

Did you find an unlocked Sprint Evo 3d or a GSM version of the Evo 3d?? Something you will want to take note of because the GSM variants won't work on a CDMA network.
The Sprint Evo 3d can be unlocked and flashed to different carriers such as Ting for example.

Sprint phones are CDMA, so unlocking isn't exactly the same as with a GSM phone (AT&T, T-Mobile).
If you want to use the Sprint HTC EVO 3D phone with another carrier it can be brought to some Sprint MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) like Ting as Brian mentioned. Other ones like Boost or Virgin Mobile might be able to active the HTC EVO 3D, but the list of approved devices can vary between carriers.
