Help HTC Evo 3D lagging with live wallpapers

Hello guys,

I got my Evo 3d last week and at first i thought its amazing.Blazing fast, no lag, perfect connection, incredible 3D, etc.
Then i switched to live wallpaper and it starts some hitching like that;
-all kind of scrolling lags
-sense 3.0 home screen spinning entry animation hitches
-application menu hitches
It doesn't make sense i think; evo 3d got dual processor CPU and 1 gb ram how can a live wallpaper make it lag? Should i change my device from where i bought? Maybe i am wanting too much thing from a phone that expensive?
If anyone know how to fix or what is the problem please tell. I appreciate your help and respect your work. Thanks...
 
different live wallpapers use different amount of memory. So of course its going to make it a little bit slower than just using a normal wallpaper. But it shouldn't be too noticeable, restart your phone to clear out the memory cache and see if that helps. I use a live wallpaper and don't see any changes in actual phone speed.
 
I use live wallpaper all the time and haven't noticed any lag. Like corpse said, it is a good idea to clear out app data and cache.
 
Mine gets kinda laggy at times too but I'm not sure if it's because of the live wallpaper or because too many apps are open at the same time even though I don't open those apps so I have to use a task killer.
 
First of all thanks for your care and helpfully messages;

I restarted phone, used task killer but no luck still there is lag while scrolling things. You know when i unlock the screen all of my home pages coming with a spin right? i can notice the lag right there like spin is not smooth and coming a little bit laggy. :(
Somebody says there was a update about 3D games etc. maybe it did that thing.Because when i got the phone out of the box it was really really fast, after 3 days it started lagging.
You say me should i send the phone back? i got htc's more that 3 years and it's kinda disappointing.

I got 1 more question for you and thanks for your replies from now:
i saw in this video HTC EVO 3D Sense User Interface Demonstration - YouTube that my sense is different from the one in the video. My htc scrolling homepages dont slow down and my widgets are different from it. i know its a diggy question accept my apologies but i dont know what.

if you handset was just fine out of the box and after a little while has gotten slower, it may be something you have installed. ive not read if you have rooted or not but i would go ahead and do a factory reset and start form scratch. if the phone performs as it should then you know its something you may have installed.

i would advise against using a task killer in contrast to the welcomed replies you may have received in regards to this as those programs can cause more harm than good.
 
i didnt root the phone and i am thinking about doing factory reset but there is no wifi in my home and my carrier network 3g is expensive. Yes you are right maybe i installed something wrong, i download apk's(games) from pc internet and installed them on my phone can they cause this?

Do you have the GSM or CDMA version? I am thinking you may have GSM because you said that your carrier network 3g is expensive, and those of us who have the CDMA are on Sprint here in the US, and our 3g is unlimited (at least right now ;) ) It might be helpful for some of the more technical folks to know which version of phone you have in case they have some troubleshooting ideas.
 
To the OP, keep in mind that not all live wallpapers are created equally. There are some poorly coded ones that would make any phone lag and there are others that would run very smooth on any android phone. So try a few different ones to see for yourself. I normally don't use live wallpapers but the ones I do use my phone handles them just fine.
 
Yes i have GSM and i will try your advices thanks for all of you but i dont understand how a game can make my phone lag is it coming with a kind of virus? I dont want to pay for games as you know :D
 
Did you see the video that i posted? What do you think about that EVO 3D? I think its a different kind of it. A pattern model with different specs, different sense.
 
What up guys,

I've hard resetted my device and nothing is installed in it i have hitches, lags still, please help me what should i do? :'(

Weird, I am using that live wallpaper to see if it will slow the phone down and it hasn't at all, not even a little bit.

Edit: To add, I am running it on a rooted and a non rooted evo 3d just to make sure.
 
I would start by disabling the live wall paper and then see if you still get the lag, then we will see if it is the wallpaper. Also your phone is a GSM version correct, so would be nice to know what SW version you are on to make sure you are on the latest release, most of us are CDMA here, so we need more info on yours to better be able to help you.

I don't know how can i see if it's cdma or gsm and it says hsdpa but i know there is no cdma network on turkey. i can give you everything about phone if you let me know how to see it.

Without live wallpaper i got so so little lag.i can barely see the hitching.
With live wallpaper i can see the frozes.

Other lags like that; i am doing something first after i unlock the lockscreen for example opening the applications menu and it lags.just as it comes i close it and open again, no lag on it.
I don't know if you understand my English is not so well but if you dont understand, tell me, i'ma try to tell.

Well 2 ways, one you mentioned you live in Turkey, and 2 do you have a Sim card in your phone??
