Root htc evo 4g data at 1x

i have an unlocked evo 4g flashed to boost that was working ok till i flashed a few roms. Now it seems my data is slow as a turtle and my 3g indicator says 1x please help someone. thanks

Did that happen with the few roms you flashed or just the last rom?
I know that custom roms indicate the true signal but now you are on boost you said. Wonder if by chance the data just happened to be slow at the time you were trying it or the location you were at was spotty.
Dont know much about boost to tell you to update prl or not.

if your on a sense based rom try going to system updates update profile, also what prl do you have and where do you live, what is normal speed for your area.

i tried updating but get system error unable to connect to internet, i dont have a great signal where i live and i know that but when i am in town still a bad signal. I just flashed back to the sprint orignal rom, so i will see how it works when i go out

digital karma, decks reloaded , strike. mostly team dirt roms

Boost is on Sprint's system so data speeds (3G) are pretty much terrible unless you are in a very good area.

Depends on your area. Tmobile's coverage is alot better than Boost/Sprint at my house. Boost/Sprint is terrible in my front yard. I get 50 kbps down/40 kbps up in my front yard.

I think theirs is called AT&T "GoPhone" or something like that

yea their go phones are very limited selection. dont see anything i like might have to go back to the darkside

Certain straight talk phones also run on AT&T but they're probably even more limited selection
