Root HTC Evo 4g will not charge past 60%

My rooted HTC Evo running CM7 will not charge past around 60% and when it does, it shuts off and acts like it's low on batter life again. Anyone have any ideas why or does it just sound like the battery may be crapped out?

Any helped would be appreciated!

what kernel are you on? maybe try a different kernel. also try and wipe dalvik cache and cache.
 
You might also try and use the battery calibration app from the market. You will have to force it to calibrate though as default is set to not allow it under 100%. Did you make any recent changes to anything?
