Help Htc Evo Repeater Fail

I try to make a repeater connection with an encore repeater router but the router recognize or detect the wifi signal of the phone and dont make a repeater connection. I test the router with others wifi signals and in make a repeater connection.
The icon of the phone in the computer signal detection is like a home group connection. Thanks for the help.

Alright, let me try to explain this.

What router are you using, because most repeaters are 802.11n to get them to be reliable. 80% of the wifi repeaters on the market are junk.

Could you please post the model number of the router and repeater. Could you also connect to just a router, and make sure you can connect.

Are you using b/g/n?
