I don't have an option of ''software update'' or ''HTC update''. Just ''HTC software update'', and there is still nothing available there.

It must be up for grabs only at select times. Try to check at night, try around 11pm-1am

Please post the software information numbers since I'm hoping for an update to fix the Sense flawed 2.3 OTA update a month ago.

This is what my phone says. I updated it last night and have had 100% no problems yet.

EDIT: I have come across some issues such as using certain apps scrolling is laggy. Like on the phandroid app, the list of phones never used to lag now it does.

Congrats, it appears that you now have the same 'flawed' sense update the rest of us have. You'll also have Sense reloading issues after you exit programs and go back to the Sense home screen. See this Sprint Forum thread for more on that.
