Hi, guys, i really want to root my phone and reap all the benefits that come with it. However while i was reading the rooting for dummies faq it said I couldnt root my evo because i have hboot-2.10.0001 and it stated that I couldnt root if it was higher than 2.02. Does this still apply? is there a way around this now or am i stuck? Thanks for any help....

Unfortunately there currently isn't a root method for EVO's w/ your hboot...Like always, someone will figure out a root exploit :D and the team over unrevoked are always working diligently to find exploits as newer updates come along.
