Help HTC EVO V 4G microphone? issues

Since about last week, whenever I call someone, the other end always reports that my phone is sending a constant clicking or popping noise, yet I can't hear it. Additionally, since then, my headphones with a microphone that used to work great now wont "send" any sound. Does anyone know what I could do to fix the issue? Another Evo 3d user said they had the same popping noise issue and had defective handset microphone, but I find it hard to believe that both my headphone and hardware mics broke on the same day.

While I don't own the same phone, (I have an OG EVO) I do recall reading on another thread that the Headphone jack and the phone speaker/mic are all connected.

It sounds to me like there is something wrong with the audio hardware in your phone. As I recall, it is fixable. I would recommend taking your phone to a repair center.
