Root htc evo v 4g mms fix help!

I have recently flashed to pac man rom on my htc evo v 4g and now the mms doesnt work can anyone help me with this please.
 
This is normally a pretty active section. Unfortunately I don't know much about fixing mms because I had the sprint evo 3d so I never had the mms issues.

Hopefully someone who has done this a few times can chime in?
 
Which Pac Man Rom are you running, the latest 4.3.1 that just got released or the 4.2 version? Pac usually releases a VM build for users if you have the 4.2 version. In the 4.3.1 version he recently posted a VM build will be up soon if you want to wait and unfortunately with little devs around nobody has created a flashable MMS fix for 4.3 yet.

Here's how you can jump start it if you want to give it a try though. Download the app "APN Backup and Restore" from the PlayStore. Boot up the VM build of CM's 4.3.1 and backup the APN's using the app (Disable the ICS check that pops up and save to your SD card of course). Then boot up Pac's 4.3.1 ROM and install the same app. Using titanium backup or something similar, convert the app to a "System" app before using it. Restart. Open the app now and delete the current APNs and then restore the CM4.3 APN's you backed up. Restart. Should work. :) Can't tell you how to get VVM to fully work yet.

Use Hangouts as default sms app if doing this to work.
 
I flashed the rom it says that i sent an mms but the other person doesnt recieve it when i send one to myself i do recieve it
 
That doesn't make much sense, it shouldn't matter. Are you just having this issue with one particular person and is this the only ROM that's happened with?

I guess try going back to another ROM if you haven't already and see if the problem persists or if it's simply tied to the PacRom. I personally have used the version I sent you and haven't had an issue where I could send myself an MMS message and get it fine but not somebody else. Could try the next earlier version of PacROM if its what you want to use, there's not a huge difference between the last few builds, and see if its just the last couple that are giving you problems (I know some people posted MMS problems on 4.2.2 CM Roms past about 7/2.

If you feel like tinkering flash the latest 4.3.1 PacROM linked on XDA and try the fix I posted above, good luck :D
