Root Htc green spash screen.

Alright, I had a Galaxy nexus which fell and broke, sadly.

but, my friend let me have her thunderbolt and my cousin decided to "root" it, but i guess it wasn't successful and i guess it needed an update and ever since it that day its been showing a white triangle with a yellow exclamation in the center and a blue android, i tried to put it back to factory settings and now every time i turn it on it stays on the green HTC splash screen. I really don't know what to do anymore and i really need my phone. Any suggestions? and thanks in advance.

Hello hoesxx its been a while since you've posted you may or may not have solved the issue

take the battery out of the phone.

put it back in,hold vol down,then power. hold them both until you see a white screen with colored writing.

tell us the info on that screen.(this is hboot)

now,youll see some green writing quickly flash in the lower portion of the screen. when thats finished, select recovery from the menu using the vol rocker and power button.

this should take you to a recovery menu. tell us what recovery it is- it will likely be clockwork,or TWRP.

now try wiping cache and dalvik cache with that menu. not knowing what recovery youre running,i cant tell you the exact menu options. if your friend had personal data you want to eliminate,wipe data/factory reset as well.

see if the phone will boot after that.

if it doesnt,there are a couple different options to procede,but we need your hboot info from the white screen.

dont worry,well have your phone working again in no time.
