HTC Hero new user

I'm a new smart phone user, I've had this phone a little over two weeks now what are some good aps?

are they any good updates?

There are lots of good apps... along with more than a couple not so good ones. What specifically are you wanting in an app? Text messaging? Internet radio? Social networking? email? fighting off angry winged creatures?

The phone is a pretty nice one, But I have to say I wish i would have bought the Desire or something other then the Hero, I think I have been Disappointed with the Hero just as much as I have been impressed with it.

I LOVE using the camera feature on my cell phones, The Hero does not have a flash, and if its less then perfect lighting conditions the pictures are pretty poor quality, even with a 5 Mega Pixel Camera.

It cant play angry Birds, which is an awesome game. and it seems to lag a lot during all sorts of functions. But....its also my first ever Data phone and it does do a bunch of cool stuff. Not too bad for my first data phone i suppose.

I love the google Sky Maps, Im still trying to find a web browser that plays videos, I was using one but for some reason it just stopped playing videos...not sure why.

I am still getting used it, so much to learn lol.
