Holy smokes - that's fantastic. I didn't realise they did that, I'll have to make a point of mentioning it when I speak to retentions in a couple of days. I'll be going for a 12 month contract so hopefully they won't be a pain about it but I'm willing to pay an upfront fee for the mobile itself.

The data thing was one of two issues I was concerned with about Orange, the other being how the Hero copes with updates from HTC. I guess we'll find out in the next few days.

I thought I'd go into an Orange Shop to just get the HTC Hero instead of calling Customer service for an early upgrade......I was just afraid if there was something wrong with the handset I can easily bring it to the shop.
