HTC Hero "with Google"?

My sister and I both bought an HTC Here in the past few weeks. She got hers the day it came out and i bought mine about a week ago. Both phones are identical besides one thing, on the back of my phone it says "with Google"; it also says this on the phone's box. I was under the assumption "with Google" meant stock android device. Does anyone know the reason Sprint released the Hero with two different boxes and phone backs? Picture of the both boxes and phones HERE

There is no major difference between the two besides the printing on the back, the few out there without "with Google" were just earlier production. My first one from best buy just had HTC and I prefered that but had to return it.

I have one of the first ones also from BB, and it does not say Google on the back. I would like to find one that does say it. Maybe ebay has them by now.

I recieved my Hero last week and I was so eager to open it I wasn't even thinking about the printing on the back. Deep down inside I always wanted the "with Google" one but I figured they would be long gone by now, especially coming from sprint directly.

I think I let out a squeal when I flipped it over and seen "with Google"

I have the plain old HTC on the back of mine. I like it that way. although I could not give you a reason why. And no it really doesn,t matter if it says with google or not.

as my man DJ Shadow says "exactly is what im sayin'..."

i have the google name on the back but i dont even see it as its always in a case until i need to use the phone.. if you go on ebay you may be able to get a battery cover back that says with google on it..

maybe il sell my battery cover on fleabay. then someone will believe their hero will perform faster..

ill also sell blinker fluid for the car... :D
