Help HTC Hub downloads have frozen! Help!

Can someone please give me advice about this? I was downloading updates for widgets from the HTC Hub, and I left my phone for a few hours to finish.
Now, it still says they are downloading and the white HTC startup screen won't go away. In saying that, the apps still work on the main screen but i just don't know where im pressing.

Any advice would be great, thanks!

i had same problem and i tried to switched off but it could not switch off, then i removed the battery and put it back tried to switch on then it just stopped and showing HTC on a white screen, now i can`t turn it off either use the screen, anybody there that could have a treatment to that please

I was downloading updates for HTC Desire s, and I left my phone for a few hours to finish.
then it after froze i tried to switch off the phone but it wasn`t responding then i removed the battery and put it back again, when i switched on again it just stopped from the welcome screen just shows HTC . Tried to read it on my computer PC but in vain. Can any body help me with the solution to this problem.
