HTC INCREDIBLE battery life? Any concerns?

You must be running one or more apps that are draining your battery unnecessarily. Remove any task killers and battery widgets. Check how often you are syncing mail, facebook, etc.

I'm easily getting two days with moderate use.

LOL, I just love these people that claim excessive life on battery charges. With this many people complaining, it is not a "non-issue". If I got a full day use out of the phone on a single charge I would be ecstatic. I don't think that is asking too much if all I am doing is limited calls, lots of sms, and email pushes. I don't surf the web much, watch youtube videos and stuff like that.

I can't go half a day without having to throw it on a charger. Thats with no apps running in the background.

Yeah I agree. Isn't that exactly what Apple fanboys do?

1. Ignore problems and complaints
2. Claim the contrary

Anyway, you should take advantage of the 30-day warranty. Try the tips/tricks in this forum (Airplane, Mobile network on/off, decreasing screen brightness, etc) and see if it works. If not, put on your complaining face and head over to Verizon.

If all else fails, just wait. I heard the Nexus One had better power consumption after an update. If not, return it on day 30, and wait for the next greatest thing!

I've had it since day 1. After about the 3rd charge it was pretty good. I also took the clock and weather widget off and put them back on. When you put it back on set the clock to only update when you unlock the phone and the weather to only update every three hours and also not use the live animation on the front home screen. This saved significant battery life for me.

Where do you set the clock to only update when you unlock the phone?

Then you must have a bad phone or a bad battery. Certainly it doesn't sound it could possible the settings and apps could be an issue.

I am going to give it several cycles and I guess eventually bend over and buy the extended battery when it comes out. That or 2 batteries and desktop charger from Hong Kong for $15 lol.

I just chuckle when these guys claim outlandish battery life.

Actually, I might go to Verizon today and pick up a second battery to test out and compare. The two batteries I got from Hong Kong for the BB Tour were markedly different. One was close to the stock battery I had, and one only lasted a couple of hours. So I will give Verizon one more try to see how a second battery lasts.

I had pretty poor battery life initially. I think my first charge lasted about 6-8 hours under heavy use. Started using some tips from this forum: turned off live wallpapers, animations, always on mobile network, use wifi when at home. Those paired with conditioning the battery and I went from 8 hours (heavy use), to around 12 hours (moderate), to 14 hours (moderate), to today I'm on pace to exceed 20 hours with moderate use. The battery needs to be used for a while to get to full capability. Plus there are a lot of ways to conserve battery life without limiting the phone too much.
