Help htc incredible incredibly sliw network speed

Hi guys I have a HTC incredible with slow network speed
The results from speed test .net say about 400kbs/s down and 500kb/s can any body help me in trying to slove this problem

First, I assume you are on 3g. Do you know for a fact that other phones get much faster service there? Because the mostly likely cause is your tower is just slow.

Yes its 3g and my friend who lives on the same block has the r2d2 edition Droid and his are double mine at minimum

I had a similar issue for about 24 hrs.I finally called verizon and we did the *228 thing and checked some setting then they opened a ticket.My 3g would switch to 1x as soon as I would start a download.
About an hour after my phone call my phone went back to working the way it always had.great 3g speed and 4 bars almost all the time.

A maintence/support/problem/trouble/I-forget-what-Verizon-calls-them ticket. You call technical support (611) and complain about the problem, and they write it down and has some techs look into it (or if it's a known issue, look up the solution).

Well okay now I'm starting to get somewhere there starting a ticket and they said it should take 1-4 business days to fix so I'm saying thanks all and ill keep this fourm incase the problem indeed hasn't been resolved
