HTC Incredible or iPhone4? Help!

Excedio did a good job with his answers for the most part, I think. I just wanted to add:

2. Music player: If you like iTunes, you can use DoubleTwist on you PC and Android phone to get a similar experience; playlists and everything. I use MixZing, which is best known for it's genius playlist abilities, but I use it because it has my favorite widget for music controls, plus it's free.

5. On games: Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, and some of the other big names are on Android, and more are coming. Personally, I love NES/SNES/GBA emulators, and Android supports those without needing the jailbreak, so I think this is a major plus here.

Look through the "Show us your Incredible layout" thread. Much of that customization can be done without rooting. There are some pretty awesome layouts, backgrounds and icons out there........

Wow that looks pretty cool with LauncherPro etc. :D
I guess i will just root to make a backup of the phone in case i mess something up

Btw what is this thing with radio bandwith? i have read it here and there and it seems like it is relevant to root or something?

Edit: I ust read that the Desire which i wanted to buy from o2 has a branding which pretty much sucks
So my question is, if i root the desire and make a backup right after it, debrand it and make a second backup, can i now use the first backup to put the branding back on and unroot(how can i do that??) if i ever need to send the desire to o2 and the second if i just messed up and want to put the backup on the phone?
I hope it poses no problems to root an o2 branded desire with slcd display and android 2.2

i think you are talking about the radio internal memory which is set to s-on and when you root (gain root access) you are turning the s-off on the radio.
