Help HTC incredible s problems, freezing!

I have a brand new HTC Incredible S and I'm not the most techsavvy.
So every 20 minutes or so my phone displays a message asking me whether I want to "force close", "wait" or "tell HTC"
My phone just freezes for no reason. It has over half the storage, full battery, it happens even when I'm texting and I have only had it for a week and a half. It then has to restart everything and then again it keeps coming up with this message, someone PLEASSSSSEEEEE help me before I throw it in the bin!

You must have a misbehaving app installed. I would do a system reset and then start adding your apps one at a time to try and determine which one is the culprit.

I have had my IncS for about 8 weeks now and I have not had any lockup issues during normal use. It came with Froyo 2.2 installed and I have even upgraded to GB 2.3.3. This is one great phone, but a misbehaving app can really make you frustrated with it.
