Help HTC Inspire Data Charges?

ThEiiNoCeNT

Newbie
Ok, I went to the ATT store on Tuesday April 12th, and purchased my new HTC Inspire with a 2Gb plan for $25 a month. Later that same night I had recieved a message saying I went $800 over with my data. I had only downloaded like 4 small apps and viewed about 10 webpages, I also synced my Facebook account. Is it even possible to go over that much on the first night I received my phone? I use the preloaded number in my phone to check my data usage(*646#) and it says 88.1 of 2048 (MB). ATT has now suspended my data for the month and I do not want to be forced to pay for something i possibly did not do.

I am looking to see if anyone can help me out with what I can do? It doesnt add up to me that ATT would tell me I only used 88.1MB out of 2048 and then charge me over $800.Also I am not sure how they do the billing, but I also checked my bill balance with another pre-loaded number[*225#] and my bill has not changed to reflect that $800 dollars.

Thanks, and any help or guidance is appreciated :)

There is no way you could of ised that much data in one night. Did you call 611 from your phone and speak with ATT about this? My husband uses alot on international towers due to his job (never leaves the US though) and one month he used close to $900 but when I called they took the data hold off and refunded the $900. Every month for the last 2 years I have to call for his phone to get these international charges for data taken off. And they do it.

So, after about an hour at the ATT store yesterday the problem was fixed...It was actually just a glicth in the ATT system and so they turned my data back on and removed the $800 Bill.

I also got my phone replaced, considering it had 2 stuck pixels :)
