htc inspire gmail

help guys, my htc inspire gmail wont work, i havent changed my password but it says my password wont work, i cant download apps or update anything without the google account..any suggestions?
 
Hello sherribarri8. Welcome to Android Forums. You might try pulling your battery and then reinsert it which will force a hard reboot. Sometimes that will clear wonky things like what you describe. If that doesn't work for you, you will want to go into your settings>apps>all apps>gmail and choose to clear cache and data. Next open gmail and when prompted... enter your login info.
