Help HTC keyboard on Samsung!

But only one thing is concerning, when installing it, you give it right to aces to gmail, than rights to install even if it's not market app, and finally you give it right to memorize everything you type even passwords and credit card numbers..
Almost ... what the warning says is that (of course) the keyboard software will be able to see --and therefore possibly record-- all your keystrokes. This is not the same thing as actually giving it access to your gmail account etc!

so aces to mail and memoryzing pass and credit card inputs = potential fraud...so pass and credit card numbers should be entered with Android keyboard..
That's the gist of the warning -- you should consider if you trust this software. But then, that applies (or should) to all software installations...

Thank you for this, My wife didn't get on very well with the stock keyboard but can use this one much much better.:)

OMG... I cannot believe that I actually use the stock 1.6 keyboard for this longg... HTC keyboard is wayyy betterrr...

tried this again after recently updating to 1.6.

used to work perfect on 1.5 but now, there is no "alphanumeric" option and i keep getting fc for the keyboard when i select touch input.

???

Of course you want the low res version. The Galaxy is a MDPI Device.
Why should a HDPI Version work on Froyo? This makes no sense.

Of course, I was a bit confused with the definitions of low and hi res.

I used the version

"Low resolution version for Android 1.6 and up"

and it works so far. I did install the hi res before reading Infect's post, and that didn't quite work.

Cheers!
