Root - HTC Legend root help -

[iAmLegend_94]

Hello/

I am pretty new to rooting phones.

I updated to 2.2 - IS THIS ROOTABLE?

I am on Vodafone, I want to debrand, does rooting unlock my phone?

Thanks.

rooting doesn't, but most custom ROMs do. Check out Paul at MoDaCo's guide on this Downgrading from Froyo OTA - Android @ MoDaCo
then just Google custom ROM HTC Legend, careful what you get though.
I suggest Azure for HTC Legend, Cyangogen 6.1, MoDaCo Custom ROM for HTC Legend (2.2 version) and they're all I've used
