HTC Leo (aka HD2) Sub Forum

Hello to the "powers that be".

There is a growing grass roots movement that has successfully put various builds of Android OS on HTC's HD2.

Right now, it's not a native install (you need to still have WinMo to be able to kick off the Android ROM), but I think there is enough out there to warrant a sub forum here.

Well, I wanted to re-address this since it is now official that the HTC HD2 (Leo) can now run pure Android OS from NAND. No longer making this a phone that is Windows Mobile only.

If possible, can we get a sub forum to share information?

I would be happy to be a Guide for it and maintain it.

Thanks, now that Android can be actually Flashed, I think it's a good idea so we don't get posts about the Leo lost in the confusion with other phones.

Let me know, I'll be cool regardless of the decision.

Well the "Other Phones" forum isn't that active to where threads about HD2 will get lost so you shouldn't have any issue. I have moved several there months ago and they are still on the first page of that forum.

Perhaps in that forum we could have sticky "master" threads for various phones without a forum. *shrug*

I wonder if stickies would likely be largely ignored/not noticed by users.

Idealy, if we know the phones are out there, we should be accommodating the users with forums for them.

Thanks for keeping the discussion going.

Advances are being made on ROM's and Recoveries for the HD2 and it is a full blown Android Device according to XDA.

There are a lot of users here that like XDA for ROM sources, but would rather discuss things here as there is not anywhere near as much clutter and junk posts.

Yup, seems to be filling up now (has more threads than a few of the Android phone subforums haha)
