Help HTC Locations Unable to Download Correct Maps Wrong Version

My phone (Orange UK) was updated to Android 2.3.5 + HTC Sense 3. Now when I try to use HTC Locations it says "map update required". My current maps are v5.676, on the "Get Maps" screen it shows the versions as v5.757. So I download the latest UK & Ireland maps. But I still get the "map update required" message. When I check the version of the maps it downloaded it still says they are v5.676. I have tried deleting the maps, clearing out the Locations cache but still get the same problem. I have viewed the downloaded map files & yes they are v5.676, not v5.757. So its not downloading the correct versions. I have hunted the internet but can't find anybody who has posted these map files (.cmap).
I use this app when travelling & abroad to avoid data charges & works great with GPS to pinpoint location, so unhappy to lose it. Anyone know how to fix this issue or how to download the correct maps?
I tried downloading Route 66 onto the phone & then download the maps from there, but these maps are a different version (v5.772) & when I try to view them in HTC locations they do not display, so that doesnt work.

I solved the problem with Locations. I found that under Settings > Locations there is an option to re-install Locations. So I deleted the cached version of Locations using Task manager, re-started the phone & re-installed Locations. Now it is downloading the correct version of maps. Hurrah.

Had the same problem as yours on my Incredible S.
The locations app reinstalled on its own at the first boot after the update but the maps weren't being updated. Just deleted the older version, connected to the internet via my PC and clicked on download maps. Bingo !
