Help HTC M8 Battery

Please help... I have had my M8 for nearly 2 months now and the battery had been great.

About a week ago I noticed a massive change in battery life, maybe after the recent update.

Last night I tested the battery by leaving it of charge and when I woke up the battery had reduced by 30%!!!!! Wtf

Anyone experiencing the same?

You need to install GSAM battery monitor and it will tell you which app(s) are eating the battery up on your phone. Your phone isn't sleeping for some odd reason.

LOL, no its because people on this forum work and we live all over the world. A lot of people on here aren't really techies with Android too. That's why you see lots of questions. When I have time I jump on and answer questions and so will the moderators.
 
You aren't using exchange email are you? A lot of people don't realize how much push email can drain battery life.

In the end though it usually comes down to one of the following causing rapid battery drain:

-Low cell signal causing the phone to increase amplifier power
-Recently installed app that is either accessing the network a lot or forcing the phone not to enter a power saving state
-Use of push mail (like exchange) that is constantly accessing the network
 
hi guys. i updated my HTC M8 2 days ago and the battery life of the phone has been shockingly bad. from charging my phone once every 2 days, i now have to charge it twice a day..........what is going on????
in the battery usage area it shows the 'android system' is using 80% 0f the battery, this is different from the 'android OS' which is listed differently. whats that about`?

I also lost my weather based screen saver, its the one which displays the appropriate weather pattern on the home screen......absolutely awesome. now can find it.
