Help htc m8 not booting

hi i have an htc m8 and its stuck on the htc screen. i already tried a hard reset and no luck i think i might have erased the software on it, what can i do to fix it???!!!
 
Have you rooted, or at least unlocked the bootloader? Without that I don't think there is any way you can erase the system software.

If you can tell us which M8 model you have (GSM or CDMA, which network/country) we can move the thread to where you can get the best advice.
 
OK, if it's unrooted then you cannot have deleted the OS, unless you interrupted it in the middle of an update. To be honest I'd have thought that a reset would fix this on an unrooted device. Can you tell us about anything that might have changed or happened before the problem started?

Meanwhile I'll move the thread to the general M8 forum (as it's not rooted). If the worst comes to the worst reflashing with a suitable ROM Upgrade Utility should do the job. Just to confirm, this is the US T-Mobile (since there are networks of that name in other countries too)? That will matter if we have to find a RUU.
