HTC Mail App Issues...

Mr Marcus

Well-Known Member
Ok so newest issue... suddenly I get the little "Low on space" icon in the top left of the screen. It takes me to 'Manage Apps'. Sorting by size, HTC Mail is at the top.... 120MB. Cache says 0.00 ('clear' button greyed out).

And I can't open my HTC Mail app. I get white screen, then "Activity Mail (in Application Mail) is not responding." // Force Close pops up.

Proving to be an endless loop here. Anyone seen this?

Help please- need this asap for work...:mad::(

damn that sucks. i dont think you could delete the email app but i would have tried that first and then installed it again maybe

A hard reset is taking your phone to the original factory settings.

A soft reset is what you do when you pull your battery out or hold the power button and the optical trackpad.
Right. I did a hard reset. Soft resets did nada.

Tried to, but every move I made on the phone seemed to freeze it more and more. So hard reset. I had a buttload of apps- they went right back on thru market tho.

So far so good. But pita setting everything back up again.

Just for good measure, since I tend to carry a ton of email with attachments, I'm switching to the Gmail app to see if I can avoid this happening again. We shall see.

yes we need away to backup settings and such like with a BB!
Yeah that was great- but I have to say, I love that EVERYTHING on my Inc is synced up wirelessly, and I haven't plugged my phone into my pc at all. And PUSH and folder/label access? Gotta love it.

But I do have to say I do miss doing whatever the funk I wanted to my BB and just hitting restore and a few seconds later everything was just as I left it lol.

How do you report problems to HTC on their apps? Do they have forums or an email address to submit enhancement requests?

I find myself abandoning more and more of HTC specific apps. They demo well, but when using them they tend to fall down in critical details. HTC Mail being the biggest problem. Problems I'm having include:
- Doesn't support IMAP PUSH.
- I've received several different types of email that confuse it and make the email unreadable. Works fine on the iPhone and with K-9.
