Help HTC Mail app vs GMail App

Hi all,

I have 2 gmail accounts. I used to have one set to the GMail app and one on the HTC Mail app. But now I never get a notification on the HTC App when new mail arrives unless I open the app which forces it to refresh.

I could run both accounts through the GMail app but would like to avoid this if possible.

Does anybody have a solution for this?

PS. I also use the HTC Mail app for a hotmail account. When I open the app it only shows one account but it is easy to then select all accounts to view. But it never re-opens with all acouunts in view - is it possible to change this too?

Did you recently update to 2.3.5?
Since the update my phone seems to forget some settings after a reboot. For example i choose the List view for apps, but it switches back to Grid. I guess that's why HTC released a small update for Desire S this week (which i didn't get yet).
Maybe it has something to do with the all accounts issue.

Hi, yes I am running Android 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 and Software number 2.13.206.1

I haven't had any other update offers since that major change.

You can have mine! I was perfectly happy with my phone as it was, now it looks all different and wacky. But there's no way to change back...
