HTC mail counter not updating?

Has anybody had this problem? If so what gives? I've tried un-installing then re-installing account, removing the app from home screen then re-applying on home screen and nothing. the number of emails I have never change, when I read or receive it gets stuck on the same number.

Do you have more than one account on your HTC mail app? If so, open HTC mail app, hit menu/More/Account List and switch to the other account. I thought my mail counter wasn't updated till I fiddled with it, and found out that I had more than 1 account entered in it...

I have 2 accounts in my HTC mail- Hotmail and Exchange. I tried that with no luck. I'm using LauncherPro instead of Sense and I heard that may have something to do with it. Is this true?

Sorry mate, I don't use Launcher pro. Perhaps someone else can.

I am having the exact same problem with the mail icons for my exchange and yahoo accounts. The icons have been stuck at the same email count, but each account has more emails than when the icons were launched.

For the record, I am running 2.2 with launcher pro.
