Help HTC One (M7) Continuous Reboot / com.htcdialer Error

Hello everyone -

The other day, I came home from work and noticed that my HTC One (M7) lost mobile data / connectivity for no reason. I thought it was just a fluke, so I restarted the phone.

From that point on, I noticed it wasn't a normal issue. I kept getting a com.htcdialer error and the phone would restart all the time. Now I'm stuck in a continuous reboot - sometimes w/ the error & sometimes without.

The weird part is that sometimes I'll get my mobile connectivity back and the phone will work. Sometimes it will work for a few hours, sometimes for a few seconds, other times not at all.

I've tried wiping the cache partition, factory resetting a few times, and even getting a new SIM Card. Nothing works. Is this a hardware issue? FYI this is a refurbed M7 that I got as a replacement from AT&T for my previously, defective One.

Unfortunately, I can't get the phone info. When I run getvar all I get <waiting for device> in the CMD prompt. Turned off fastboot, turned usb debug on, still doing it.

If you've wiped cache, tried a reset, and replaced the SIM, you've done just about all that a 'normal user' could be expected to. All that's left is trying to reflash the firmware via RUU but tbh I don't know if that's going to help.

Is it still within the HTC 1yr warranty period?

p.s. moving this to the HTC One sub-forum to get eyes-on from those with more experience of the device.

[post edited 'cos I've since been informed that HTC only warranty their devices for 1yr in the US. Poor show, HTC!]

So I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but it stopped restarting on its own and I no longer get the HTC Dialer error; however, mobile data no longer works. Completely off, with an X, not letting me connect to the AT&T network. Does this mean that SIM Card reader is to blame? It's so coincidental that phones end up crapping out after 2-years. Money grab by HTC, especially cuz they only give US a 1-year warranty.

Hi!

I have been experiencing the same problem ever since I got the software update as well. My phone keeps restarting and no network connectivity. Sometimes if I'm lucky I'll be connected for about 15 minutes but then I just get the "x" as well. Did you do anything to get your phone to stop restarting? I noticed that my phone has been draining battery a lot more than usual as well.

Thanks!

New update - My previous post was wrong. It was cooperating for a little bit, but the phone is still rebooting & giving me the same error.

m_flo - I've tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I even took it in a repair shop and they said that it was a software error, but I'm at a loss. Anyone else?
