Help HTC One M7 will not charge

My phone was working completely fine and then suddenly (when the phone was at 30%) it gave me a message saying that it was not able to charge because I was using to0 much power, then the percentage turned to 0% and my phone shut off.

I plugged it back in while it was still off and it only said that I had 20%, however when I turn it on it gives me the same message and turns itself back off.
 
I'd Google search "wipe/clear cache partition from recovery mode on (your phone)" and try that first.
If that fails Google "enter safe mode on (your phone)" and see if same thing happens.
To leave safe mode, just reboot :thumbsupdroid:

Cheers Emon. I've gotten lazy with googling things and instead telling the user what to Google.

Yeah I hate when I see on g+ (and I'm sure it happens on XDA too) when people respond with "Google is your friend" or even worse, have you experienced a LMGTFY (let me Google that for you) link?
That is so obnoxious and it would be faster just to post the answer.
That's actually what made me stop using AOKP, my 1st s3 custom rom when one of their former top devs hit me with a LMGTFY link and I thanked him before hitting the link.
Gave him a load of abuse and moved on.
I get that rom Devs are doing this for free and owe us nothing but no need for rudeness especially when it only required like a 3 word reply /rant over lol
