I cracked my HTC One M8 screen about a year ago and it still worked however 2 months it got water damaged and didn't switch on for a week. Eventually when I factory reset it I managed to get it workin however the screen was very poor (dull with streaks). I am now in a situation where it is total black.
The phone still works as I am still receiving messages. So I am going to attempt to replace the damaged LCD touch screen manually. After watching some YouTube videos I think I can do it, however the screens alone cost around £50, my question is it worth it and where is best to buy a replacement screen?
