Normally I just write off reviews until I get a real good hands on to really put the phone through some real world usage...However If the battery on the ONE struggles to make it through the day on the version that Aaron from phone dog is using which is an unlocked version, I'd be scared to hear how the LTE version for the states would hold up :confused:

If you have a strong data signal most of a typical day,you'll probably have little to nothing to worry about.

NOTHING sucks the life out of a phone quicker than a weak signal.I've found this to be true,as certain as the sun will rise tomorrow.Until I finally bit the bullet & got an ISP @ home,other than my cellular service,nothing taxed my battery more,not even close.

There isn't a phone out there that will survive on a single charge for a full day if it is constantly looking for a signal,or,dropping/connecting constantly.

If LTE is your concern,I'd sit back & wait for some user experiences from our members here (who have LTE) to start rolling in before taking the plunge,but,I'm speculating that the battery won't take a huge hit from using LTE.

I think I can speak for some members here in that we wish we had that (LTE) to worry about.:p

The HTC isn't out everywhere, the SGS4 is out nowhere, HTC has released a camera update but no one is going to re-do anything after both phones have gone through their first update cycle, and we're going to hear the results of the horse race for the next year.

Thread title is standard but to say we're being generous is an understatement.
 
I've been thinking about this heat thing.... I don't know what material the Sony is made of, but I know that Sammy and Apple have plastic backs. Last time I checked, aluminum had a MUCH greater heat transfer rate than plastic, so doesn't it follow that with an aluminum shell, the heat from the ONE would be more evident? Just saying...

Most of the back of my LTEvo is aluminum, and it has never been hot.

Is there a heat thing?

Just to clarify, the "heat thing" I was referring to was about the amount of heat the reviewer experienced during benchmarks. The reviewer mentioned it was a concern for him as far as component longevity was concerned. While not a common item in most reviews, I've seen it mentioned at least once before, so I guess it caught my eye (thus my head) more than warranted.

But to answer your question, Early: No, there is no "heat thing," unless you'd like to apply some humanistic adjectives and say the phone is smoking hot! :D

Brian is the only guy I know who does battery tests with all devices set to the same, objective brightness level.

He really works at providing details. I like that.
