Help HTC One Volume Control and Speaker Loudness

Yes, I'm sure that will work Roger. I was looking for a way to set the volume permanently as one can for other things so I don't have to remember to turn it down and turn it up depending on what I'm doing at the moment.
 
I had the same issue when I first got my One. It was just way too loud through the speaker grilles. I ended up just using headphones. If you don't like the cord, you can try out some stereo bluetooth headsets such as the Plantronics backbeats.
 
I've gone thru 3 different pair of wireless ear buds and spent upward of 200 on some but I simply couldn't get the volume of my music loud enough to drown out the treadmill at the gym. I paired the same buds with my mini Ipad and had no issues so I know it's not the buds themselves.
The car volume for bluetooth music isn't loud enough either. I know that there are settings for the bluetooth internally and I have those maxed out. I've downloaded 4 or 5 apps for volume with no help.

Any suggestions?
 
Does anyone have a fix for reducing the minimum volume? It's just way too damn loud, and I'm highly considering getting a new phone because I can no longer use speakers at night to listen to music, watch videos, or play games.

I've tried using pretty much every single equalizer in the whole Play Store, yet equalizers don't even work with the HTC One (mine anyways). My phone is currently running 4.3 with ViperOne. If anyone has a fix I'd greatly appreciate it.

You're rooted so you have more options.

I'm not familiar with what ViperOne includes, have you tried DSP Manager?

Make a nandroid backup first, it's going to install a library.

It may not be compatible, so you'll have to try it. The above link is in a Galaxy Nexus forum, but it's not limited to that, I'm using it on an earlier HTC One X type, works great.

Be sure to turn off Beats when using it.

Separate profiles for speakers, headset and Bluetooth.

Is it convenient to compare with a floor model at a local store, same program material (radio or something)?

Hope it's not, but might be good to rule out any broken hardware.

Thanks for the help! I actually found the solution afterwards; Viper offers an app called ViPER4AndroidFX which can manually change the equalizer settings and alike. :D
 
anyone notice that the speaker volume is low with the 4.4.2 update, use to be very loud and noticeable, now after this 4.4.2 update its not loud at all, my older htc one x plus speaker is much louder..is that normal?. ive booked my phone for collection tommorrow as it may be hardware fault, if not ill be paying

ok gonna do that now..will post, back, it is very loud through he headphones and much much lower when played through the speakers, ive also noticed that the vibrate feature can just about be felt when i press the "home" or "back" button....but im goona do a factory data reset and see what happens..will post back asap..

ok just done a FDR..still the same, at half way volume settings you can just about hear if you are about 5 ft away..through headphones very very loud...definately somethings not right...

am i reading this thread properly, you guys think the volume is too loud on the htc one?...no way, then there is definately something wrong with my htc one, even at full volume and if a song is being played through the speakers you can hear it very quietly from about 5 ft away...
 
1.PNG If you have a icon like this one in your notification area and your phone is way too loud then do this to fix the problem. go into your settings
tap the call icon
uncheck hearing aids This should solve the problem
 
My HTC One makes very little noise out of the main speaker. Notifications, ringtones, music, calls, everything comes through at such a low volume you can barely hear it. I can hear everything normally through the headphones. The headphone icon doesn't stay on when they're unplugged. Any suggestions on how I can remedy this issue?
 
your post does not provide any data for anyone to help.

well it should not make any "noise" at all.

the headphone icon is supposed to go away when you unplug the headphones.

Are you rooted?
what carrier?
Whats the latest OS on the phone?
is this your first htc one? first android? did you purchase new? is it a refurb?

did you uninstall or install any apps that can take control of audio output?

what are your notification settings set to? have you adjusted them?

has this happened on day one of using the device? if not, when did it start?

have you attempted a factory reset?

need to be on the same page with you before anyone can provide some help.
