HTC One

I need the best possible radios (often in weak signal areas), a great camera (at least as good as the iPhone 5), lag-free operation, and excellent battery life. Storage space, sound quality, and display specs are less important to me.

Thoughts?
Sounds like the new Motorola DROID MAXX is right up your alley.
Great reception ( Motorola radios are top notch), excellent battery - 3500mah, 32gb storage, pretty good camera (not top of the line of course but still..), again - not top tier cpu specs but will be very snappy and lag free, 720p 5 inch display.

The new MAXX seems to meet your smartphone needs you listed.

Good luck with your decision.

One. More. Sleep. One more sleep, one more sleep, one more sleep.

Tomorrow morning I will be up bright and early, because I couldn't get an appointment at my local Verizon store close to opening time. Hopefully I'll still be able to get my hands on one tomorrow...

Give us a review on the phone if you do.

I will certainly try to do that as soon as I can. Of course, I'm hopefully going to be spending quite a bit of time getting my apps in order, and files moved over, and exploring all the good stuff.

...and bidding my cute little Incredible a goodbye. Well... at least a I'll see you later as it will live as a potential backup phone.

SUCCESS! I journeyed out, and was the first one to get The One at my local store. The rep was impressed with what I knew about the phone (and he seemed to be a phone geek himself, so props to Tony at the Westgate Verizon store!)

Currently I've got Facebook working, am tinkering with Blinkfeed, and getting used to the notification light being behind the speaker grille. That's a little odd, but I'll get used to it.

I successfully linked it up to the Bluetooth on my 2009 Subaru Forester, and called from it, so that's all good. I've not checked if it pairs with my old Motorola H500 bluetooth earpiece, so that's still an outstanding item.

Facebook is working, I've turned off all the auto-updates in Google Play, and am currently moving things from my dear sweet Incredible to my laptop, so that I can move them onto the One.

I am a very happy girl today.

By the time I got to the store last night the phone was sold out. Ended up ordering online for delivery Monday. But the good news is because I was having issues with the stupid plans, wanted to keep existing non family plan with 2 gigs of data instead of unlimited but the only online option was stupid share everything plans for $30 more a month I ended up chatting with a csr and got $50 off the phone! Woot! Oh and I just need to call to get my plan back. Win!

The $50 off the phone is pretty much given to everybody and anybody who asks. By the way, this phone is now locked down and no root is obtainable at the moment.

Was able to finally get the One on Thursday after Lunch. Coming from Droid Bionic. I have it pretty much setup the way I want now, Finally! It is a bit of a different animal, mostly in a good way, I think.

The biggest difference is actually the going from limited talk/text and unlimited data, to unlimited talk/text and limited data(2Gb). Guess I'll be using my home and work wifi alot more, if the battery can take it. Today is my first "normal" day at work with it, so, we'll see. I've already set it to use my work's wifi.

Also picked up the 6000 mah battery charger, the Morphie one, or whatever it's called, and the Motorola Roadster 2, Bluetooth Car speaker. My girlfriend bought me the Roadster, she doesn't like me texting in the car, so, we'll see if this works well enough, to at least keep my eyes on the road now, and speak/listen to my texts in the car.

Sorry, I know I'm babbling, at this point, hopefully this will go well.....
