HTC predictive text suddenly in foreign language

Anyone know how to sort out HTC desire predictive text, which has been working perfectly for ages and then suddenly wants to speak Spanish and other languages instead of English?
It's driving me crazy.

Hello and welcome aboard... Allnamesgone.

Try this: Open up "Language & Keyboard" - tap on "touch input" - "International keyboard" - check the box to the preferred language.

I hope this helps. If not, then clear data from the "touch input" application inside settings - applications - all or downloads.
