Thank you for contacting us.

In regards to your issue, I can help you with that.

please try the following:

1) menu - settings - applications - development - un-tick mock locations.

2) menu settings - applications - manage applications - htc sense - htc hub - all options with that name - clear data and cache.

3) all app's - htc hub - menu - settings - accounts and sync - tick all boxes - set to push.

4) check you have an internet signal, 3g or WiFi. menu - settings - wireless and networks.

if this does not work please read the following:

Over the past few months HTC has been undertaking an upgrade to HTCSense.com in order to enhance the web experience for our customers, extend service availability and increase service quality and uptime. During this upgrade process some people may experience some fluctuation in the services and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are implementing an update in the next month that should minimize most service problems. Currently, accounts have these main features: find my phone, call and message forwarding and lock and erase my phone. Over the next few months as we complete the upgrade, more features will be added into accounts. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to make the HTCSense.com experience even better.

Due to greater than anticipated demand for the HTC Sense.com services, some of our customers are experiencing stability and reliability issues that are unacceptable. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused; please be assured that HTC treats this as a very important issue and we are working hard to improve the experience for everyone.

I tried as they suggested but to no avail the areas in dashboard are still highlighted still says my devise is disabled, and now i CANNOT ring my phone from dashboard as before......what more all my home page widgets vanished and were replaced with widgets i dont use??????

PLEASE HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO:confused: should i uninstall htcsence and start again?, if so how do i uninstall completely?

any help greatly appeciated

If you want to remove the account completely, do this -

Settings -> Accounts and Sync -> HTC Sense -> Remove Account

I think that will remove any of the widgets and themes you've downloaded via the HTC HUB, but as I've NEVER had it work properly for me, I can't confirm. You will however be able to add the account a 2nd time and start over again.

Settings -> Accounts and Sync -> Add Account -> HTC Sense.

However, HTC have been saying much the same thing for a very long time, they're always working on it and about a month or so away from a permanent fix so I'd take what they're saying with a pinch of salt. It might be best to leave it for now and wait until it's confirmed as working by HTC and a large portion of the user community.

thanks for your reply and advice ill remove the account for now and as you say wait until its working properly,...when you say you can add account a 2nd time do you onyl get 2 chances....SORRY IF ITS A STUPID QUESTION:D

It's really not working, there are numerous topics on here and all the other forums about HTC Sense website.

Most of the functionality of the site can be found by installing lookout security:

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lookout&feature=search_result

Which has phone finder / ring /lock/ and contacts backup all for free. And you get AV protection aswell.

Sorry LOCK is on the premium service..all the rest free though.

thanks nigsy for that tried to install but would not allow???

iv since received update to 2.3 and m going to try htcsence again.....see what happens

Have you run the setup on the HTChub APP on the phone?

HTChub seems to be working fine, also HTClikes.
when i log in the dashboard has no map just a grey box with the following

We're working on retrieving your device location and settings. This may take up to 2 hours to complete. its been like that for the last 18 hours. i can ring my phone forward calls, and the boxes lock and erase are highlighted although i have not tried them

LookOut cannot be faulted as a fallback app for the HTCSense.com tools. Phone locations and call phone are available while using the app for free without subs.

Mine wouldn't update on the map either, have you tried clicking on the footprints tab, and selecting find my phone from there. mine updated here.
