HTC Rezound OTA is here

^That sounds like fine tuning, refining, or continuous improvement on the firmware and that's always a great thing that respectable companies do. I think a new radio requires some hardware (metal, transistors, crystals, coils, silicon/semiconductor, and those kind of physical stuff). bye.

Probably like the iPhone radio fix, instead of two bars it will display the without having anything at all to do with actual signal strength. Probably a product of peoples complaints of weak signal on some phones. I haven't had any of the issues this update fixes, think I'll decline downloading it until after finding out what it breaks hehe.

Yup. I'm perfectly happy with mine as is. Definitely waiting on feedback.

This is great. It isn't available in my update section yet but I'm excited. Great to see them supporting the phone well.

I've had the data drops when using hotspot, so it will be nice if they've actually fixed that.

Also, interesting to see the 5 bar signal indicator. I know it has absolutely nothing to do with actual signal, but I have always wondered why HTC phones are different on every carrier. Verizon 4 bar, AT&T 5 bar, Sprint 6 bar. (May not be that way for every HTC phone, but enough that there seems to be a definite pattern.)

Man you took the words right out of my mouth. I read this and was thinking what are they talking about? Other then the hotspot issue for some I haven't heard many if ANY complaints at all about this other stuff. Not to mention my phone works great and has none of the issues addressed. I can so see me downloading this "fix" for my nonexistent problems and creating a problem..lol. I think I will take the wait and see approach here as well.

yup, mine just began. came here to figure out what it was about. i guess i'll report back what goes on.

yaaaay i got suckered into downloading it too :D
(I had to pull down the top line/bar to see the downloading progress bar - otherwise it downloads quietly.)

I already got the OTA! Was wearing my phone, pulled it off my belt and saw the screen with 0:01 remaining, no time to react and press Defer...

uh oh your phone will go into a reboot loop now!!!
(it reboots a few times during install:))

yaaaay!!!

Just finished the install. Took 4-5 minutes all together. No noticeable difference so far except the 5 bars. I was getting 2-3 of 4 bars before. Now I'm getting 3-4 of 5 bars.

Mine just downloaded.... Lost all of my information, apps, ect.. Very frustrated that I have to set my entire phone up again.
