Htc screen problems

I dropped my phone from quite a high distance flat on to its front. The phone turns on but the screen doesnt light up at all. Unfortunetly i had no insurance so cant claim. Was thinking of getting it repaired but wondered if i could get away with ordering th part myself and repairing it that way. Anyone know what part to order?
 
It is probably worth sending it to HTC for a quote. At least they can tell you exactly what part is broken.

Without opening it up, you can guess its the screen itself, but it may not be. Awful buying a screen to find out its a wire.
