Help HTC Sensation with 3g data and default web browser

Hi

I am new to this forum so im sorry if this question has been asked before.

Up until recently, i have been able to use the default browser on my phone to browse the net using the 3g data connection provided by orange. Now when i connect the phone to the net via 3g and try to browse to a site using the default browser, nothing displays, however, when i use the wifi connection it works without any problems.

This also happens when i use the facebook app on the phone and the Dolphin browser which i would like to carry on using.

Now since i have this problem, i have to use either firefox or opera to browse the net using the 3g connection.

I have tried all sorts:
--- change the network mode from GSM/WCDMA auto to WCDMA only
--- turned on data roaming
--- taken out any proxies which were configured in the default app
--- taken off opera, dolphin and firefox thinking these would be causing the issue

The next thing to do is to wipe the phone and start again which is something I'm not prepared to do which is why im here seeing if anyone else has had this problem.

Hello and welcome aboard, Tim.

Here are two things you could do: first, make sure "Mobile network" is enabled inside "Wireless & networks." Second, clear cookie, data, history, cache form your web browser.

If none of the above works, then you might have to "reset" the device to its factory default settings. If you take the device in to be repaired, the first troubleshooting step would be to reset the device.

Edit: Have you contacted your service provider to see if the problem isn't on their end?

I thought i would just update this.

I ended up doing a factory reset on the phone, backing up the contacts, sms and apps with a program called wondershare Mobilego.

Everything is working as it should now on the phone.
