samsung galaxy s2 vs motorola droid vs HTC sensation XE

Which has the best value for money?
how good is it with built quality, performance and battery?
does XE have a better than the SII?
I quite like HTC Sense, just need to know it HTC XE can support like 720p youtube vids and open full websites.

thanks

Having just ordered both for friends and played with both. I'd opt for the XE. Better build quality, prefer Sense over Touchwiz, S2 screen looks a little sharper. No news on battery yet.

Id agree with all of above points, my gf has the s2, great phone for her very reliable less technical. Never going to beat sense I dont think.

Xe plus' = Build quality, obv audio, usability and customisation straight out of the box. Cam is good imo but when compared comparitively doesnt beat
the s2.

On the downside: Batt life, putting up with the niggles

s2 plus' = I find her battery even with equivelant usage will outlast my xe by approx 4 - 5 hours (although currently my xe is having a moment and im only seeing 8 hrs charge but thats a different topic)
Screen quality is superb if you look for it.

On the downside: Build quality, customisation out of the box

If you are willing to tweak trial and test then the xe is a superb phone the best on the market in my opinion. The s2 is also a superb handset which is why I purchased it for my gf... less headaches.

im also interested in these 2 phones my hisband currently has an galaxy s which i find looks a bit cheap and i have an desire hd

having heard good things about both was wondering whether to stick to htc which i like or go to samsung

OK, the info on here is helping me a little... BUT my main questions about the two phones are :

XE has only 1GB of user ROM v S2 having 16GB (I have suffered lots of "Storeage Low" on my original Desire)
The battery life on the S2 is said to be better than the XE.

I do like my Desire and would love to stick to the HTC but I am torn between the two and would love to hear what you guys and girls have to say on the above, or any suggestions to alternatives.

Regards

My main gripe with my Desire was it constantly being low on storage. I've installed so many games and other rubbish on my Sensation XE since getting it a couple weeks ago and no sign of the dreaded low storage warning. It's still got tons of space as well. I really do not think that you could fill it up with apps and games which you regularly use. You would be having to install stuff for the sake of it to max out the storage.

My 2p's worth. :)

I just dumped my Samsung GS2 for the XE. I'm glad I did because the HTC UI SENSE is so much better. But the XE is only Tri band and SGS2 is Quad band.

Off the beaten path, for those of you who care about signal reception, I just posted this on another thread a few moments ago:

New update:
I did some digging around - the XE is only Tri Band - and it doesn't have the 900Mhz band. This band travels further than (arguably) the higher Freq bands. So, for example, if your last phone had the 900Mhz band and it was locking up on that Freq - but, now the XE has to lock up on a higher Freq - it may mean you're struggling w/ reception.

I've learned that the XE has a much desired, but newly used, 850Mhz band, just like Vodafone here in Australia. If your provider will transmit on 850, that is the coverage that may work best.
cheers

Im thinking about selling my s2 to get the white sensation xe my only worry is I have heard the sensation gets dust under the screen is this true.

No dust at all under my screen after a few months. To be honest, I'm not sure how it would as the way the back cover comes off seems to reduce this possibilty happening

In addition to that, looking at the htc website here is the info i found.

Network4

HSPA/WCDMA:

  • Europe/Asia: 900/AWS/2100 MHz
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE:

  • 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

So isnt that meaning its quad-band?
