I really hope they bring this to the old Desire. It would seem strange if they didn't. The phone is clearly powerful enough, runs 2.2 and, well... it seems like it would be a fairly simple update.

I would actually be very disappointed if HTC turned their back on their best selling phone. For as much as I dislike iPhones and what they represent (closed software), Apple are VERY good at continuing to support even very old models.

C'mon HTC, don't turn you back on us. Give us the new UI and access to HTCSense.com.

If the update doesn't come, many consumers will be wary of buying future HTC products due to lack of support.

It's already been hinted that we'll get it come December, but the HD ports mean you can already have it if you're prepared to root your phone.

End of the day, HTC have NO obligation to support the device as they're obviously going to push their new ones...the fact they do is a hats off to them
