Help HTC Sense Keyboard

1st I just wanted to know if I was the only one who experiences serious lag with the sense keyboard

2nd Is their a way that I can shorten the length of the haptic feedback on it
 
I experience a lot of lag with ny keyboard on sense. I rooted an flashed Cyanogenmod 6.1 RC2, basically a rom without any sense at all, and my keyboard does not lag at all. Any rom that I use that is built off of sense lags. Nobody seemed to be able to help me.
