Hi all,
I have been using an HTC Incredible since the device came out and it has been awesome, by far the best data phone I've had to support at work. For a couple months now, since the latest patch (or the one before? I can't remember), the stock keyboard has been acting up and getting worse the longer the problem exists.
While typing quickly, certain letters will be eaten up. So for example, if I type the word "the", 90% of the time it will type "the" and then quickly eat the T so only "he" remains. Which means I have to go back and correct lots of words.
I've googled this problem but have not seen any threads about it. I've hard reset twice and cringe at the thought of sending it back to get a refurb from Verizon. I don't have any odd applications installed and the problem didn't happen after installing anything. It happened after an update.
Any ideas out there? The stock keyboard is great, I don't have any of the extra settings on for it. Just plain ol' keyboard. Has anyone heard of this? Verizon basically shrugged at me and told me tough luck when I asked them about it.
I appreciate any help in advance.
If the solution is a 3rd party keyboard, are there any keyboard applications like the stock HTC Incredible keyboard?
