htc sync 3.0

i found it but when i put my serial number in to allow me to download it,it said that it wasn't available for my phone even though it clearly stated desire at the top....weird

HTC Desire - Software Download

I have this one from HTC Australia. It does say compatible for Desire.
Note: This update is applicable for APAC & EU HTC Hero (Android 2.1) , HTC Legend, HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire, HTC Aria. (This update is not intended for use by North American customers)

and as I say still NOT officially for the desire, why else is it not in the Desire downloads. I will continue to wait....

It IS in the Desire downloads, worked fine on my serial number and the speed was excellent less than a minute to download this morning.

has anyone had problems syning anything with this - downloadedfine - but doesnt actually seem to sync any information?

edit: unplugged and plug in again and seems to work fine

Looks like the same old sh1t - "unable to find HTC Sync on your PC"

This is why I dumped HTC Sync and ported to Google!

Mine works fine, except for the fact that it only syncs previous appointments, not future ones. Since I am for the most part aware of what I have done in the past, and would like to know what is in store for me in the future, does anyone know how to fix this issue?

i have the same issues too, rarely does it sync to my pc.
ported to google??? how do you do that?

cheers spunky

Assuming you have gmail (or googlemail), I exported my contacts from Outlook, imported them into Google calender. On the phone, people, view. only tick Google (I keep my contacts 'master' as my Outlook, easy enough to import/export). You may have to export contacts to SD card and then import them back to phone as google contacts...there's a thread on here about that some where.

Google (haha) 'sync google calender with m/s outlook calender'. This bit of s/w will do what is says!

I like the fact that my calenderds now have 3 way sync, and a backup.

That's it, as far as I can remember!
