Help HTC Sync does not work properly on my Desire

god am i pissed off with htc sync i hve been trying on and off for the last six months to to get sync to work with my desire . sent htc an email and i swear the guy who answered it must think i have a degree in computer science .

i just want it to back up my contacts is that to much to ask . i know for a fact if i bought an iphone it would just work no bother , starting to look to the dark side . after all the hassle i had with the last sony phone wich lost all my contacts i really don't need some other piece of crap that wont carry out a simple task .

I use for sync the phone contacts with my PC the app MyPhone Explorer (a client on phone and a host on the PC).
The connection to PC is either USB or WiFi (I use WiFi ).

It is a simple and tranparent way to bring the contacts to the PC and vice versa

better still, sync them with google
you can grab a csv of your contacts when ever you want then
also it means nothing is lost if you change phones or your computer dies

ive never used sync software with android, theres never been a need

There is also a tonne of software that does it in the app store and most of the phone security software like Lookout has backup contact inbuilt.

Sync it with your gmail account. It's automatic, seamless and happens virtually instantaneously over wifi or 3G. There's no need for HTC Sync.
