htc sync fails

Can't sync from outlook 2007 to my Eris.

The same thing happened to me. Make sure the contact on your phone is categorized as "Phone", not "Google".

What do you mean? Where?

When you're viewing your list of contacts on the phone, does the contact say "Google" or "Phone" to the right? I can't find a way to switch it from Google to Phone once the contact has been created.

I found 3 and deleted them, still fails
