i have a question about HTC sync on Evil Eris can i use that or do i have to use another program? i looked and didn't find anything on this subject.

Well if your syncing email or appointments or contacts you'll need Outlook...I think that was your question???

i have outlook, but it wont even connect at all. it keeps saying that i cant find it on my computer at all.

There is a default setting for the folders it is trying to access...when I set mine up I needed to tell it to use the Calender and mailbox folders, not the default... Open the program on the DT after the phone is connected (see below) click on Sync Manager...Settings...Categories then set the folders up.
Earlier I had said Email where HTC only syncs your contacts and calender (not Tasks)
Also connect the phone, choose the sync option and the go to your desktop to start the program, open HTC sync, let it find the phone then choose sync from the DT program. I have had issues when I tried to use the phone controls for syncing.

what do you mean by open the program on the DT?
