Papou

Newbie
Downloaded HTC Cync on my PC but cannot get it to open on the PHone or PC...Went through previouse suggestions other have given from previouse requests but still no go!!??..
What could i be doing wrong or havent opened/ticked to allow it to open??.
Cheers and kind thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply:), just been going back through all the posts with the same prob as mine and i did a reset and retried and "Wolla!!" she now works allright:)..
May i ask how often should one do a soft reset of their phone to get rid of excess temp files sis it that causes it????....
Another query while i'm at it if i may & mainly due to a couple of apps ive recently downloaded and that is which is the best way to back up all my downloads and changes to the phone??.
Cheers and thanks again..

Backup for contacts & Photos i can do now via the SD Card and usb to pc but will that also allow me to backup a paid navionics programme ive downloaded?? or will that be lost if my phone crashes..If sio i guess i would have to pay all over again to downlaod it again??..
Hence my wanting to download everything somewhere i can redownload it again if the above happens.
Cheers

PS when you say apps that rely on those temp files would that be games or any apps..
As for the reset , just held the on off button till i got the option for the reset..

If you've paid for apps via the market, you wouldn't need to pay for them again, not sure about stuff from gameloft etc.

Temp files can and are created by any app so they don't need to be loaded again once the app is visited. The prime example would be pictures on web pages. These are normally cached so that when the page is visited a 2nd/3rd/4th time, they're just displayed from the computer/phones hard disk as opposed to downloaded from the page again, therefore saving on load time.

Temp files work the same way so clearing them would make any app that needs them slower.

Appreciated:),and still keen to know which and what method is best for backing up my phone "Just incase" :)...

Paying for an app called MyBackUp Pro seems to be the easiest way without rooting.

Also, a desktop app called My Phone Explorer is also meant to be quite good at taking stuff from the phone, might want to give that a shot?

+1. I use it all the time. It's MyPhoneExplorer - no spaces in the name. Google it ...
